A2P messaging stands for “application-to-person” messaging. It involves sending automated messages such as notifications, alerts, or promotional messages, from an application (ie Twilio, RingCentral etc) to individuals or users.
Yes. Using an application to contact a person via SMS is considered A2P independent of how many people are included on the message or whether the message is scheduled in advance. This means that using a platform to send application-based SMS messaging to an individual candidate or a particular client is considered A2P in the same way that scheduling bulk SMS messaging is considered A2P.
For security reasons we do however have a daily maximum limit set on all accounts. If you would like to increase your daily SMS quota you will need to contact our Support team.
Based on our internal tests and current understanding of the regulation, inbound SMS messages should still be received to unregistered phone numbers and numbers with pending registration.
